Dear friends:

Do you know of a MakeMKV version that doesn't crashes on Lion or
Mountain Lion?

Curiously, the last version crashes before starting to do the job. It
crashes when saving or modifying the preferences, or when selecting
the output folder, etc. The Windows version works very well.

Do you know of a stable version of this software for Mac?

I have v.1.7.6 and it works fine for me running OS X 10.8.1.

Have you tried it while logged in to a different user account? That's
usually my first troubleshooting step when I encounter a misbehaving
app.

Problem solved, they released version 1.7.7.1 that fixes the crash problem.
