Using Pages in iWork 9, Snow Leopard.

I have the margins for the header on a portrait oriented letter sized page
set to .5 inch to draw a 7.5 inch line across the top of each page of the
document.
But then I need to reset to page margins for the text on the rest of page to
the standard 1 inch.

I don't see how to do that. Any suggestions?

fire up the Inspector, go to Layout Inspector/Sections, select 'first page
different'.

Thanks for responding. I'm sorry, maybe I wasn't clear enough.

I need the header with .5 inch margins on every page and the text margins to
be 1 inch also on every page-- not just the first one.

I'm assuming that you are using Pages' Word Processing Mode. If so, you can
set the margins for the header and footer using the Docment Margins option in
the Document Inspector and the width of the text using the Layout Margins in
the Layout Inspector. These options are all available in the Inspector pane
itself.
