I hope this is the group?

Anyway, I am new to an iPad maybe 3 weeks ago, and I am noticing
something about importing the COntacts list from the Mac Computer. I
have a total of 265 cards in the Contacts list on my Mac, but when I
synch or connect iCloud, I only import about 105 of the cards.

I don't see a setting that would eliminate most of the cards, in System
Preferences on the Mac, nor in Settings on the iPad. Neither for Mail/
Contacts / Calendar, nor for iCloud.

I have an iPhone, as well, and that thing imports all of the contacts -
I think.

Any ideas what might be a little loopy with my settings? I'd think they
should all download?

Thanks,

S.

Actually, it should have been posted to comp.mobile.ipad. I have
included that group for follow-ups.

I think (and I haven't checked) that you can sync only certain groups.
Are you sure your syncing all groups?

English has always been a challenge to me! Please forgive my bad grammar.
I do try.

Well, I checked that, and I cannot see where it might be an option.
That was my first guess, too, and maybe I just need to figure out where
the options or preferences might be.

But I'm moving over to the iPad group with this thread.

Ok Connect iDevice. Open iTunes it it does not auto open. Select your
iDevice in the left hand pane. Then look across the top right under the
tool bar and select Apps Then check Sync Contacts then check All
Contacts or selected Groups. If your contacts are being synced with
iCloud it will tell you in the bottom of the contacts area.
Hope this helps...Let me know.

So it looks like it is an iCloud issue. I shut down iCloud, and the
synch seems to work perfectly.

Of course, there were a few duplicate contacts that I had to delete, but
that is all part of the fun!
