Is it impossible to get iPhoto to show jpegs on-screen at rational
resolution (i.e. one screen pixel = 1 jpeg pixel)?

I have searched high and low for a menu item that does this. If it is
there, it must be so well hidden that it is almost impossible to find.
If that is the case, then why is it so impossible to find such a
button/option?

I'm not aware of there being any such capability in iPhoto but one can
display a photo in Preview one-on-one pixel for pixel.
