That just goes to prove everyone should have a Windows PC.

It just works, no lobbying necessary.

Serves you right, toss the toy and get a real computer.

Shows the SSA is brown-nosing Gates and Ballmer.

Windoze users who play games are the ones whose computers are toys.

My Macs are real computers, the government should make things
standardized so Mac users can have access.

While Wintel OEMs where busting their asses selling their products to
government and industry, Jobs et al. where thinking up ways to make
their CPUs more cutesy and colorful.
Apple did very little to promulgate the Mac and isn't considered a
trustworthy manufacturer by most in the corporate sphere.

So as much as Wintel is responsible for the present state of affairs, as
it pertains to viruses and malware in general, Apple is just as guilty
for not making their better (sic) choice better known.

And if Apple can afford to take its users through all sorts of
uncomfortable transitions, MS cannot afford this luxury, even if it
wanted to drastically improve its OS.

No? Who's lobbying the government to let their computers work, Windows
users or Mac users?

Didn't you hear the news? Apple switched to Intel. All of you Maccies
*are* getting PCs.

They'll have to keep fighting Linux and all the other PC operating systems,
including the newest one, Mac OS X.

Indeed.

A Macintosh doesn't represent the only other choice besides Microsoft.
Hell, given how dependent Mac users are on MS software, buying a Mac *is*
choosing Microsoft!

By most definitions, we've always had PCs. The processor is irrelevant.

The commonly accepted definition of "PC" is an x86 computer that can run
Windows.

Software vendors separate their wares into "Mac" and "PC" categories.

Do you call such vendors to ask what type of computer their PC software is
for?

So a Itanium computer isn't a PC?

Why do you need to invent new "commonly accepted definitions", Edwin? PC is
'Personal Computer'. The most common PC is the IBM compatible PC running
Windows, which has led to 'PC' and 'IBM Compatible PC running Windows' being
synonyms.

A Mac most certainly is a personal computer, but it isn't IBM compatible (yet),
and it quite obviously won't *be* running Windows, even if it can. :)

> Software vendors separate their wares into "Mac" and "PC" categories.

Exactly, since the distinction is the operating system.

See above.

No longer? So you used to brown-nose them? Was that your vocation or just
a hobby? I ask for information only.

That's right, I realise I brown-nosed Gates and Ballmer when I was a
Windoze user, but then I saw the light when I switched to the Mac.
Sorry, it was neither a hobby or a vocation.

Why did you think that I wanted you to tell me about you sticking your
appendages into Gates and Ballmer's orifices?
