Such reasoned debate! Such logical arguments!! It is many years since I
have witnessed a debate of this quality. When was it? Let's
see...umm...at school, I think.
As I remember, it went like this:
"My XYZ is better than yours"
"No it's not. Mine's got a bigger nurdle"
"Yeah, but I bet it hasn't got one of them new widgets"
"Nah, they're crap, they are. Anyhow, mine can beat yours anyday"
"Yeah. Betcha it can't"
"Betcha it can"
"Well it can't, see, 'cos it's crap."
"You calling mine crap? Yours hasn't even got a doofer"
"Has then, see. Anyway, mine's faster 'an yours"
"no it ain't"
"is"
"ain't"
"is"
"ain't"
"is, is"
"ain't, ain't ain't"
"Betcha can't do this, then"
"Easy. Betcha can't do this, and this, and this"
"Can then, see"
etc., etc., etc., ad nauseam.
Julian Barkway.
