I complained abotu Steve's fucked up crap some time ago and Steve lost his
usenet access on Comcast. Got an email from my source there and apparently
he and about a dozen others have ruined it for all comcast users Comcast no
longer will support usenet at all. They do not make any money off it and
Steve and "about a dozen" others were causing them so much grief it become a
liability.

Way to go, Steve, ruin it for thousands of people just so you can be a
prick.

I received the same form letter... such good "sources" you have. :)

Comcast was actually fairly good about reacting to Steve's antics... both
for those of us who complained and for him. They gave him a warning, and
when failed they killed his access. And then later they decided people like
him made it just not worth it to have Usenet at all... which is a shame, a
few people should not ruin it for the masses. But you have a few in every
crowd - and Carroll was the one of the few in the Comcast crowd that made it
just not worth it for them as a business. There are plenty of good services
out there, both free and inexpensive, so hopefully other Comcast members are
not put through to many inconveniences based on the Carroll's of the world.

Here is a post I wrote in late Oct. (the last month Comcast provided
usenet access)... posted from a Comcast server:

Poor, poor Snit... reality just keeps pounding away at him;)

October 29. Steve Carroll is posting to a bunch of groups from Google
groups. Of couse they lying piece of shit known as Steve Carroll will say
that Comcast is lying and the emails they sent to people who complained
about his crap were all lies.

Oh, and Snit, the rep I talked to was CSAT...@comcast.net. He was very
helpful and made it very clear the problem with Steve Carroll was being
handled quickly and appropriately. His account was cancelled. He did then
get another account just to try to bypass the block. That account was
cancelled as well. Would not surprise me if he kept playing that same game
and that is one of the reasons Comcast simply threw in the towel Whatever
the exact reason why, Comcast made it clear Steve Carroll and a small number
of other abusers of their system was the reason they dropped usenet support.
He fucked it up for everyone.

The worst part is he was specifically told his actions would fuck it up for
others. He clearly got off on that.

The important part is that Steve knows - absolutely knows - that his BS lead
him to bad things. He will under no circumstances admit to this in public.
Ever. He will deny and try to turn things around and blame the people that
let his ISP know how out of hand he became... but he still knows.

Maybe he will learn something from that once his anger dies down. I
sincerely hope so. I have seen other bullies, much like Steve, who have
eventually grown up.

Not the same one I talked to - but the exact same "pattern" of email.

I got similar information from Comcast.

That part I did not know. Not a surprise, though, given how he at one time
was paying *my* ISP to have an account so he could try to forge me. My ISP
cancelled that account once they were in on the game.

Bad things equals nothing. I am still a Comcast user... and, contrary
to the lies Snit and his puppets have tried to sell, I'm still using
the same Comcast account I've been using for years. Fact: Like
everyone else, Comcast spotted Snit for the troll that he was as soon
as I showed them a few posts of his.

> He will under no circumstances admit to this in public.

Translation: Snit will, under no circumstances, provide proof for what
he claims... despite google *already* showing evidence to the contrary
(with my help by providing the links I have that prove Snit is lying).

Translation: Steve knows, just like everywhere else knows, that Snit
is a narcissistic lunatic. In fact, Snit is *so* narcissistic that he
is seen here actually trying to convince people that Comcast based
their decision to stop providing usenet access to its users due to
Snit and his sock puppets whining about me bashing the snot out of him
with reality (as if Comcast gives a rat's ass about morons like Snit;)

Interesting. The troll could not leave enough alone, but had to take
this out of comp.os.mac.advocacy, dragging it to
comp.os.linux.advocacy (COLA), adding a slew of other unrelated groups
like alt.usenet.kooks, rec.music.makers.guitar.acoustic,
rec.sport.pro-wrestling.fantasy and uk.media.tv.misc, which are totally
unrelated. Then forces it as a Followup-To COMA:

http://groups.google.com/group/comp.os.linux.advocacy/msg/87582bb8006894d0

Very trollish.

I just checked, Steve Carroll still posts from Comcast.net. Of course it
is beyond this troll to overcome its illiteracy with reading headers, just
like some of the idiot trolls in COLA. Then complain about an imaginery
unfairness that has little to do with the discussion at hand.

Yeah, right .... blame Steve Carroll for the discontinuation of Comcast
Usenet as if it were his fault, even though it was a Comcast business
decision. Poor wittle troll was picked on by Steve and had its wittle
feelings hurt, so it must crosspost to receive comfort from COLA, Usenet
kook, accoustic guitar, pro-wrestling and UK media trolls, I suppose.

It means nothing to either the media cartels or the ISPs that
most casual file sharing on Usenet probably doesn't infringe any
copyrights, nor that the volume of other very useful content on
Usenet is far larger, by several orders of magnitude, than any

Comcast is just the latest of the large ISPs to buckle under to

Write to them and complain that they did not.

From what others have said, they tried and Steve got another account -
perhaps under his wife's name or whatever. Want details: call Comcast!

Oh, this is rich. Snit nymshifts as Rhino Plastee to post his
poisonous diatribe against Steve in CSMA, blaming Steve for the
demise of Comcast's direct support of Usenet. Then crossposts
to COLA and a slew of other non-related groups. Now he asks to
be left out. Snit made his bed, it is time for Snit to sleep in

Of course. You are making up stories. You lied, and your lies are quoted,
above. Just some of you lies:

Comcast made no such alibis.

But you have *no* idea what people from Comcast said or did not say.

Steve Carroll made no such abuses.

That is laughable. Completely. The hate filled freak has spent years lying
about me and finally flipped his wig and started targeting health based
support groups to get to me.

This is only a very sorry and futile attempt by Snit
to blame Steve's truthful exposure of his trolling by
attacking Steve.

LOL! Steve Carroll.... *truthful*.. LOL! Seriously.

Snit nymshifts as Rhino Plastee

A complete lie from you. An absurdity, really.

On and on and on... you lied. You did not even *try* to pretend otherwise.

1) Removed the minority from the service.

"His Usenet access was dropped"-Snit

2) Then closed the whole thing down,

Dear Comcast High-Speed Internet Customer:

As of October 25, 2008, the complimentary Comcast Newsgroups service,

this date, these customers will no longer be able to access the Comcast

to Giganews for newsgroup access will not be affected by this change.

While we have seen a decline in popularity of newsgroups as customers have

I am going directly to the source of what I don't believe Snit which is your

Comcast made it clear part of the reason for their business decision was
because of abusers of their system such as Steve Carroll and a few others.
I have talked about the email I received and Rhino Plastee has even offered
the email address of the tech he communicated with there.

If you want to debate someone, then contact Comcast... I do not want to be

You are no longer going to post to this thread but will, I can hope, call
*Comcast* with your concerns... it is they, after all, and not me who you
have your beef with. I am glad you figured out I will *not* be the middle
man in your debate with them.

For the record, while I support their smacking down of Steve Carroll, I do
not wish they could have found a better way of dealing with it. By using
his aberrant behavior (and others like him) as a part of their decision
making process to dump Usenet they have given him power... which is what he
wants. He wants to feel like he actually makes a difference with his
trolling... and in this case he did.

I asked Tattoo Vampire the following question... which he snipped:

I have shown, conclusively, that Roy repeatedly posts the
same information about Apple, Microsoft, their products and
their leadership. Do you think it is an acceptable practice
to post the same off-topic information over and over? If so
you would be the first to say you disagree with my labeled of
such practices as off topic and inappropriate.

Which is *exactly* as I predicted:

Of course, it is 100% predictable that you will not answer
the question. You and I both know Roy is spamming, but since
he is supported by the self-proclaimed "advocate" crowd you
will not stand against him - you do not want to risk their
wrath. You will act cowardly and dodge the question.

I ended my post to him with:

Yes, that is 100% guaranteed. Prove me wrong if you dare.

But he did not dare. Of course not. If he thought his trolling was clever
and unpredictable I have just proved him wrong. :)

Keep in mind, Steve Carroll originally denied Comcast even contacted him.
He later said they did and he successfully argued his case.

And yet, Comcast said they handled Steve's worst behavior... and then when
he continued to troll they dumped his Usenet services. Steve got his
service back, reportedly from getting another account, and then Comcast
stopped supporting Usenet completely... and *they* stated it was in part
because of Steve and others who abused their services.

You disagree with their actions... or maybe do not even believe those were
their actions. So what? Why bring me into your disagreement with Comcast?
You have yet to answer that.

He later said they did and he successfully argued his case.

Snit quotes, in part, the following (and evidence for Wally's bigotry, but
that is irrelevant to Wally's current lies):

Snit:
Do you not see the bigotry in your comment?
Wally:
There is no sign of bigotry that can be attributed to my

Rhino Plastee Comments on Wally's clear bigotry:

How can you say you are not a bigot when you blame the Jewish
race as a whole for the policies of Israel and assume that
someone who does not like those policies must therefore not
like the Jewish race? Clearly this is a bigoted postion you
are pushing, Wally.

Wally denies his obvious bigotry, as quoted by *Snit*:

Clearly for your argument to hold up you need to put words in

Snit notes the quotes *he* provided were:

Nope: I quote you directly and in context...

And then later Wally lies about *that* and says:

Whoops... but Rhino Plastee was *clearly* in reference to a quote by Wally
that *Snit* provided. Yup... so when Snit noted that the quote he provided

There is no quote from you that is being used in the conversation that I
have outlined and linked to Snit....

At http://tinyurl.com/6uhx65 you as Rhino Plastee stated...

"Has Wally even admitted he is talking about the Jewish race? I have seen
the ass tapdance like a monkey around this but he is clearly afraid to admit
to this. Why, Wally, will you not admit you brought up the topic of the
Jewish race?.........

........For someone who is not a bigot, disliking the policies of Isreal
does not extend to disliking the Jewish race.........

.........How can you say you are not a bigot when you blame the Jewish race

as a whole for the policies of Israel and assume that someone who does not

like those policies must therefore not like the Jewish race? Clearly this
is a bigoted postion you are pushing, Wally.........

.........Why would Tim Adams blame you for what Wally did? Had you brought
up the Jewish race earlier in this discussion?"-Rhino Plastee (aka Snit)

Where is this allusive quote from you that you claim Rhino Plastee used
Snit?

Simple fact is that there isn't one, But now of course the entire text can
be considered a Snit quote whilst you used the name Rhino Plastee!

Even if Steve did deny the contact "originally" how could you possibly know
that contact had taken place at that time?

Don't try and say that Comcast would have taken you into their confidence
and explained what, when or even if they had contacted Steve!

lies Snit!

*That* is why I make a point of posting links Snit, any one can view those
posts and make their own mind up about any dishonesty.... Which of course
explains nicely why you are always so reluctant to supply links to what you

Simply answer the question Snit where can I view Comcast stating what you

You ought to be taking care of your new dog instead of posting here.
Neglect can be prosecuted under animal cruelty laws. Just a head's up
for you.

You have yet to answer that.

offering things that Linux is not.
