WHAT - there were crashes, and it sounds like there were repeatable
and frequent. SOSDD.

From what I have seen, *absolutely*. I am very happy with it. Only problem
I have with it is it took Apple too long to get it out.

I have been writing about these crashes and how they have been frustrating.
Apple worked with me very well during the time, but still frustrating to
have the problem at all. Glad it is fixed.

With some systems they were - fairly reproducible, too. For example, Save
for Web and Devices would crash Photoshop about 1/3 of the time in 10.6.2
*ON SOME MACHINES*, including mine. Had to do with the graphic card and, I
think, having 4GB of memory or more.

Absolutely *none* that I have seen, though there have been reports of some
installation problems. Few.

Apple knew there were a fairly large number of people experiencing crashes.
I would have liked to see the update come out more quickly.

It is interesting that Apple does not even say the problem is fixed in
the release notes.

Vague... so maybe, maybe not. :)

I haver noticed both Apple and Microsoft like to keep a lid on
embarrassing problems. For instance in Win 7 some makes of recent
Microsoft mouses will cause an occasional system freeze on wake from
sleep. Microsoft does not even acknowledge the problem. That same
hardware works fine of Mac OS X or Win XP or Vista.

True... but one-on-one Apple was *very* open with the problem. And
apologetic for the delay. My NDA agreement ended when 10.6.2 came out, but
still not sure how much I feel right about saying - but just say they had
hoped to have a fix out more quickly but the problem was hard to track down.
They did they right thing in working with me and, I am sure, others to track
it down. Once they had, of course, they needed to make the fix and then
have it tested. So while I would have liked to see it come out more
quickly, I do understand these things can take time.

So you're still having problems... even using 10.6.2. Interesting. I
predict you'll use words like "clear" and "context" any minute now;)
