"In one of the first such studies, 90% of 200 owners said they were
"extremely" or "very" satisfied with their phone. And 85% said they are
"extremely" or "very" likely to recommend the device to others, says
the online survey conducted and paid for by market researcher Interpret
of Santa Monica, Calif. The firm surveyed 1,000 cellphone users July
6-10."
"The findings are "pretty much off the charts," says Jason Kramer,
Interpret's chief strategy officer."

and they will continue to be so as the software get updated by
Apple.
Really looking forward to the launch in Europe. Apple will by then
have sold 'millions and millions and millions' of those shiny
thingies...
here is another happy person _before_ the iPhone launch:

"Interpret's survey also bodes well for AT&T. Half the buyers switched
from another carrier. Of those, 35% paid an average $167 to break a
contract. "We thought AT&T would be more of a barrier to entry," says
Munster."
"Another boon for AT&T: IPhone owners surveyed expect to pay about $35
more in monthly service fees compared with their previous cellphones."
ONe in three cell users want iPhones too! What a statistic.

Nope, not even one in three who use the net. Pity about all the rest who dont.
> What a statistic.
Pity its so utterly bogus.
Thanks Edwin, for adding that, nobody could accuse you of being
biased.
I think the decision of 30% of iPhone users to spend an average of
$167 to get out of their existing contracts, just to get what appears
to be a decent phone, speaks volumes.
How many are just not able to afford that and will get an iPhone once
their contractual period is at an end?
Try to keep up,

One-in-three Americans want iPhone
Apple's iPhone could become one of the most succesful product launches
yet.
Lightspeed Research surveyed 39,000 people on its US online panel in the
days following the launch of the device on 29 June - and the research
findings are staggering.
Thirty-two per cent of those surveyed who do not currently own an iPhone
stated that they do intend to purchase one, with 8 per cent planning to
purchase in the next three months and 22 per cent planning to purchase
"some time in the future", the researchers said.
Try again there rod...

And since its an ONLINE PANEL, thats completely useless when trying to
work out how many OF THOSE WHO DONT USE THE NET, want the iphone.
AND it isnt even a viable sample of those who do use the net either.

you have to admit the name is cool... 'Rod Speed' that is a great name
- beats Edwin and Tommy any time. Or blabla or moo. And he is more
articulate, in a sort of juvenile way.
