Now the title should be "Why Apple's iPod scares Microsoft's Zune to the
core."
Better yet, Windows outsells OSX 32:1
Or, even better, why Apple will never catch up.
Don't be silly. Market share doesn't matter unless Apple is in the
lead. Otherwise it's irrelevant.
Market share is relevant to the question of whether or not something is
continuing to sell.

As in Windows. 97% world market share.
You posted an article bragging about how "scared" Apple was and how
the iPod would be crushed by the Zune. How did that work out?
Is that why you Maccies harp on Zune market share? Seems to me Zune not
only continues to sell, but has about the same market share the Mac has in
the computer market.
Alan resumes double-talking in... 3... 2... 1... go!
It's got you wetting your bed and shaking in your boots! :-D
Why don't you put it in your sig line? Display your emotional scars
proudly, the way Alan Baker does.
LOL
And thus like the Mac has not killed Windows (something no one here has
ever claimed) the Zune has not killed the iPod (something you repeatedly
claimed).

So who posted the original article Edwin?
All those posts about declining Windows sales versus rising Mac OS X sales
had nothing to do with claiming the Mac is killing Windows? You really
think you can pull that one off?

Yet another of your emotional scars. Why don't you make up another "quote"
from me about it and stick it in your sig line with your other made up
"quotes?"
BTW, I never claimed the Zune "killed the iPod."

Why would you think Mac was killing Windows... or think anyone had claimed
that just because Apple is doing well and MS is suffering these days? If
Togo had an economic surge while the US suffered would you think that means
Togo was "killing" the US?

No. They have nothing to do with that. They are to show that Windows
isn't killing the Mac.

Jealous?
You didn't write that above. You're telling so many lies you can't keep
them straight even in the post where they appear!

Alan says "duh" but misspells it as "LOL."
That's right, Edwin. I used the wrong tense...

I suspect Edwin is just bored today and is seeking some attention.

You ought to be here in Marin County, California where I am. The sun is
shining and it's 60 degrees. 8^) Sure beats my hometown in Herefordshire in
England this time of year!

Thanks I'll take a pass on California. I like the much lower taxes and
overall cost of living right where I am. I'm far enough from the city
so their crap doesn't bother me, yet close enough that a day trip is
doable.
For that, the price is a bit of chill in the winter.
That's right, Edwin took begging for attention lessons from Mr. Incest.

I figure that the advantages of a mild climate (and low expenditures for
heating fuel in the winter and air conditioning in the summer), more than
offset the high taxes. Plus I get the pleasure of being able to enjoy the
outdoors in shirt-sleeves all-year and and never have to shovel snow. 8^)
I think it would depend on how many iPods the Togoians were buying.
Cute - do you even know what it means?

You must have shown your posts to your remedial reading teacher. I'm glad
he/she could straighten you out.
Maybe the problem isn't so much you're a liar as you're too stupid and
ignorant to realize what you're saying yourself when you post, let alone
realize what others have said when they post.
[snip]
Are you asking me to educate you on how to read a Usenet thread?
You're far beyond being educated, Edwin. We still can't seem to get
you to understand the concept of "present" and "past" with all of the
outdated articles you post.
No. This is *English*, Edwin.
Showing that Windows isn't killing the Mac is not the same thing as
showing that the Mac is killing Windows.

So I looked at these threads for the first time not 5 hours ago and already this is the third post I've read where you've discussed emotional scarring. I'm not coming at this with an angle other than concern. Do you aim to do emotional harm? I mean I understand that there's some serious history of you finding people with whom to have these little spats, but in a way, that only makes it more serious.
I want you to know that you're a worthwhile person whether or not you succeed in scarring people emotionally. And it's OK to stop trying for a bit and explore other avenues. Usenet is great for just shooting the breeze or finding loads of spam messages, but the seriousness with which you approach it makes me worry that you've really invested yourself in Usenet as a main social network. Treat Usenet like a MacBook Air: neither is necessarily designed to be a primary device.
Get out. See the world. Fall in love. Don't let Usenet eat you alive.
Andrew
Thanks.
When do you think you'll make it past the third grade?

You seem to be demonstrating the 'concept' of meaningless babble.
Not the way you use it!

So that is the problem.
