It's a hit! A Home Run in fact.
However, windows overall is declining slightly as has been it's trend.
(If this was your big announcement tommie, it's pretty weak.)

As P.T. Barnum once said: "There's a sucker born every minute". I guess this
proves him right. Microsoft continues to sucker-in people by selling them yet
another warmed-over version of NT. YAWN! Come back to us when you have
something interesting to report, Tommy.

Except for this little tidbit, Tommy. It will take time, of course, but
Microsoft is on its way out. Empires, especially evil ones, don't last
forever. All they've got left is Windows and Office. That's it. They are
getting their asses handed to them on a platter in just about every
other endeavor they attempted. Ballmer needs to go but the board won't
act until it's too late. The stock is in the tank. The reputation is non
existent. Face it, you're beating a dead horse. All YOU have left is the
market share straw man and it's shrinking every quarter.

And Snow Leopard is not a warmed over version of OS X?

Last time I checked Xbox was selling pretty well, as is their mouse
and keyboard business. For sure the Windows share losses are due
mainly to the spread of mobile phone and the Mac, but sales of Windows
and Office will grow in 2010.
As for evil, if evil dooms you Apple is not long for the world either.
Apple's incredible need to control the buyer is leading to
confrontation as Apple's share grows.
What is your point?
Snow Leopard is an upgrade to Leopard which was and upgrade...
It has been OSX all this time, just upgraded, no bullshit about a NEW
operating system.
That's not the argument. The argument is that some of you Wintrolls insist
that Win 7 is a brand NEW OS and that Snow Leopard is just another iteration
of OSX and when will Apple give it's users an ALL NEW OS the way Microsoft
has given it's users Win 7? By that same argument, if Snow Leopard is just
warmed over OSX, then Win 7 is merely warmed over NT.
Yeah, in another 30 or 40 years Apple will be up to around 10% market
share. Of course most of you will be dead by then. LOL
> LOL
Laughing at yourself again?
Another year starts with Maccies spewing the same old BS, Microsoft still
having over 90% of the computer market, and Apple still stuck below 4%, in
spite of a decade of claims of run-away Apple growth.
I see not only does most of the market reject Snow Leopard, a great many Mac
owners do as well!
LOL
Sorry, Edwin, but you claim that when one quotes a source it isn't you
that is saying anything, so you should be replying to Computerworld, who
said:
'Microsoft's Windows resumed its usual losing form last month as the
operating system's usage share dropped by about a third of a point even
as the new Windows 7 posted a second straight month of impressive gains,
Web metrics firm Net Applications said Friday.'
What's good for the goose...
--
"The iPhone doesn't have a speaker phone" -- "I checked very carefully" --
"I checked Apple's web pages" -- Edwin on the iPhone
"It is Mac OS X, not BSD.' -- 'From Mac OS to BSD Unix." -- "It's BSD Unix with Apple's APIs and GUI on top of it' -- 'nothing but BSD Unix' (Edwin on Mac OS X)
'[The IBM PC] could boot multiple OS, such as DOS, C/PM, GEM, etc.' --
'I claimed nothing about GEM other than it was available software for the
IBM PC. (Edwin on GEM)
'Solaris is just a marketing rename of Sun OS.' -- 'Sun OS is not included
on the timeline of Solaris because it's a different OS.' (Edwin on Sun)
So those figures only mean something when they show a decline for Mac OS
X, then, is that right?
They also mean something when they show the great number of Mac owners who
reject Snow Leopard.
Want to mention Pixar again?
But somehow you can ignore the growth in overall Mac OS X use that they
show...

What is this obsession you have with Pixar, Edwin?
Windows 7 gains, other Windows versions decline, Apple goes nowhere, as even
a great many Mac owners reject Snow Leopard.

Windows overall declines.

No such thing is shown, unless it's an error. The Mac would have reached
4% market share if it had the growth you Maccies keep claiming for it. As
it stands even a great many Mac owners reject Apple's current offerings!

It's your obsession, not mine. You've been mentioning it for years.
Want to lie about workstations again?

You are *priceless*, Edwin!
You point to minor month to month fluctuations and say "Ha, ha! Mac
declines", and you cannot see that if those numbers are significant,
then they are *all* significant.

Edwin is not only jealous of Pixar, but is schizo as well.
So, again, what are the benefits of Windows 7 over Vista? No windows
user here have been able to give me a good answer for that?
Thank you in advance...

I'm not the one who can't see that. Want to get back to the issue of all
those Mac owners who have rejected Snow Leopard, and who aren't any mere
monthly fluctuation?

Yes you have, and you're covering those lies with even more lies.
You misspelled "Jimmy Lee, Jr." again.
It exposes people of low I.Q. by making them ask questions like that.
> No windows user here have been able to give me a good answer for that?
Why ask me if you got an answer to your question? You ought to know. A
"windows user" is the wrong person to ask anyway. Pose your question to a
Windows user instead of somebody you find looking out of windows.

No it doesn't. The Mac wouldn't still be stuck at less that 4% of the
market if Windows had declined. Any meager declines of Windows are due to
Linux, not the Mac.

You have me confused with Alan Baker, who tried to prove something about the
origins of BSD Unix by applying qoutes from AT&T's failed efforts to claim
ownership of PC Unix in the 1990's.

Yet more of your lies, Alan.

Don't smash the pea.
I'm sorry, but the figures you rely on show that Linux increases have
been minimal.
Since November 2007, Linux's share has risen from .65% to 1.02%, while
Mac OS X's has risen from 3.43% to 5.11%

Apparently not, since you were unable to list any such advantages. So,
prove me wrong. what are the advantages with Windows 7 over Windows
Vista. For someone using Vista - such as me - why should I upgrade to
Windows 7?

I know the difference, and you are unable. You admitted as much.

You must have a daily quota of lies to tell.
Have your remedial reading tutor explain to you what that means.

You're tracking changes over longer than two years? And you need somebody
to explain, yet again, that these are Net usage figures, not market share
figures?

You're confused again. You must have been thinking of Pixar while you

NetApplications figures were what was being discussed in this thread.
They are what Tom first wrote about. They are the subject of this thread
and they show Windows declining and the Mac growing
