Hi,

I have a MVME177 board (68060) but the P2 connector (I/O)
pins assignment are not in the user's manual.

Motorola said:
"You can obtain connector interconnect signal information, parts
lists, and schematics for the MVME177 free of charge by contacting
your local Motorola sales office"

I found it in the MVME177P user's guide, but not sure this is the same.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Marc

I believe the P2 connectors for the MVME147/167/177 are all
used to interface to MVME712 transition modules. Do you have
a document for the MVME712M?

Hi Paul,

Yes, Raw A and C are for MVME712. I have a MVME712M but without
the P2 adapter board and 64 pins cable.
The MVME712 manual give only the pinout for the 64 pins connectors
of the P2 adapter board.

I just found this schematic:
http://www.aps.anl.gov/epics/EpicsDocumentation/HardwareManuals/VMESysMonitor/System_Monitor.pdf

It use the P2 connector of a MVME167, I think it is the same as 177.

I'm going to boot my board with this information and a terminal
connected on the first serial port. I hope I'll see something like
an error message, because for now, I have the FAIL LED lighting
(Maybe because I don't have a VME backplane)

Thanks for help,
Marc.

The MVME177 works fine, the pinout from System_Monitor.pdf is ok.

I just added pullup resitors on reset and some other pins.
