Ever since I worked with a couple of VME-bus systems in school,
I wanted to learn about them in more depth.

Recently I was given a 20-slot VME-bus chassis and a big sack
full of VME-bus cards. I'm hoping to eventually get the system
up and running again (I'm missing the power supplies, but I hope
to have them shortly. Alas, I have no documentation on these
boards).

I've gone through the cards and have found the following (I
would appreciate corrections/comments):

MVME 141-2 68030/882 CPU card
MVME 224-2 8MB(?) DRAM card
MVME 323-2 ESDI(?) hard disk controller
MVME 332XT Parallel/Serial I/O card w/transition board
MVME 350 SCSI(?) interface (I have no clue on this.)
MVME 374 Ethernet interface
MVME 393 Graphics Board(?) (Has TMS34010 processor).
MVME 714M-1 Serial I/O converter + modem
MVME 792-2 Video output board(?) (Again I have no clue.)

Again, I would appreciate clarifications on things I might have
mis-identified. I'd like to at least get enough put together to
check parts out (use the debugger, etc.). Is the VME bus arbiter
on the MVME 141 board? It seems the console/auxilliary ports
on the 141 require the 714 board for connection to a terminal.
Is this true?

The person who gave the parts to me said the machine was running
just fine when it was decommissioned about a year ago. He had
disassembled it before he found out I was interested in it...

Thanks for any help you can provide.
