Hi!  One of the lesser known N8VEM home brew computers is the ECB mini-
M68000 board.

Presently it runs TUTOR 1.3 and we are planning on porting CP/M-68K

Here is a description of the computer.  It connects to the ECB bus to
use various other home brew computer peripherals.

http://n8vem-sbc.pbworks.com/w/file/48863865/baby%20M68K%20descr.txt

All of the information is public and freely available.  The PCBs are
$20 each plus $2 shipping in the US and $5 elsewhere.

If you would like to build one of your own mini-M68000 please contact
me at LYNC...@YAHOO.COM

The main discussion on the mini-M68000 is on the N8VEM mailing list

Thanks and have a nice day!

Andrew,

Thanks for a flash from the past !!

I have not seen as many Z80 and 68K projects in one location in a long time.

Good luck on your projects.

Hi Don!  Thanks!  Yes, actually there are two M68K projects underway
at the N8VEM home brew computer project.

First is the mini-M68K which is an ECB bus board.  It can use the ECB
bus and peripherals for expansion.  It is small, inexpensive and
hobbyist friendly.

Second is the the S-100 68K CPU board currently under development.  It
is in its third prototype phase and nearing a "final" configuration.
Being IEEE-696/S-100 this is a more complex board but like all the
S100computers.com and N8VEM S-100 boards fully supports the IEEE-696
standard for multiple CPU bus masters, etc.  Another builder is making
an MMU board for it with the intent of running a *BSD/Linux type
operating system -- full blown 32 bit with memory management, etc.

The S100computers.com and N8VEM S-100 project has produced a
completely free and open S-100/IEEE-696 system from backplane, CPU
boards, RAM, IO, mass storage, etc.  Builders can choose from Z80,
8086, and now 6502 CPUs and will soon have a M68K option.  The whole
system is designed for builders to assemble themselves from the PCBs
using components they source themselves.

Hobbyist home brew computing is alive and well!  Feel free to join up
in the fun!  Thanks and have a nice day!

Hi!  Major progress on the ECB mini-M68000 board.  CP/M-68K is now
running and you can see the details here.

http://groups.google.com/group/n8vem-s100/browse_thread/thread/d31ef2...

Next is to get CP/M-68K running on the S-100 68K CPU board.

Thanks and have a nice day!

Hi Don,

Sorry, I have no experience with 68332 and don't know if it can or
not.

Maybe others would comment on the subject.

The intent of the mini-M68000 is a vintage/hobbyist small computer
system similar to the other N8VEM home brew computers.

Thanks and have a nice day!
