Greetings all,

I need to interface a 68332 to a SCSI hard disk. Has anybody done this? I am
looking at the Fujitsu SCSI chips for the interface. Has anybody used
something else?

Thanks,

I have used NEC's (maybe AMD) version of the NCR controller. The
problem with NEC/AMD was that the were selling the chip as a
alternative to the NCR chip for people already in production. So if
you call them for technical support they were not much help. We
finally got a bunch of documentation from NCR and that helped us.
Using the NCR clone was the company president's idea (goat head that
he was) and I had literature for Fujitsu's chip and it seem much more
comprehensive than either NCR or NEC/AMD.

We used a MC68340 and used the built-in DMA to move the data to/from
the bus. Oh - another thing about the AMD verses NCR's chip was that
the data transfers were 16 bits wide instead of 8.
