I was looking at laptops today and I see they come with "P", "T", and it appears "SU" processor chips. Is there anywhere I can find out what features come with these chips and which one is the best?

BIOS update screwed up

Hello, Someone pressed the power button on a Toshiba L300D laptop while the Bios was updating. Now we have an expensive brick. I gather that some special jig is needed to re-flash the bios. If that is so, or is it something I can do myself? If not, anyone have any recommendations for a company that can do this?... more »

dreadful foolishness committed on new netbook

I have done a dismal, dreadful thing with my new Acer netbook… I used a pair of USB keys to move 2Gb writing photos music etc. into its 160Gb hard drive. One of the keys I used properly… the other I did not properly shut off before removing. AND… I had some recent writing I was doing as I went.... more »

Did the shop say what needed replacing? And if you don’t mind what store did you bought the laptop from? Also did you find out what the loud noise was and did it ever go away? Do you have the paper contract? (not verbal contract as it don’t mean a thing) when you brought the laptop and does it cover accidental damage.... more »
