Brought back memories. We had a S/3 model 10 with a 1442 (the 80
column cards), with of course F1 (fixed) and R1 (the removable pack),
and no console, and the 300lpm printer. I think initially it had 24K
in it, but we found we could get by with 16K so we downgraded. Later
we added what I think was called LCA to direct attach a 3741 (8"
floppy key to disk machine).

Never had one of those MFCU which folks told me that MFCU didn't stand
for Multi function card unit but... (and I think there is another post
about such and maybe they were correct).
1442 would be read and punch on 80 column cards.
