I have an 8525 connected to a SCSI Nakamichi MBR-7 CD changer. I am
running PCDOS7 on top of MSDOS6.11 and WFW on top of that. This is
networked by TCP/IP to several other machines.

I have shared each individual drive on the network as CD1, CD2, etc.

In DOS I can open any folder on any drive.

In WFW I can open any folder on any drive.

However, on the net with this machine, I can access each CD drive as a
folder, but when I try to open the folder, it says there is nothing
inside.

Can anybody tell me a point at which to back up to and start looking?

How did you manage that, DOS on top of another DOS?

Well, my terminology might be a bit wrong, but I installed MSDOS6.22
first, and then PCDOS7. I figure I get the best of both DOS's and a
little bit more.

MSDOS gives you memmaker and PCDOS gives you a mouse driver......

Many Years ago, with my DOS & OS/2 BBS-System (Fido) i had this problem too.
Checking the access-rights may solve the problem. The path-entry for a
Drive-share matters. Setting it to 'E:' is not the same as setting it to 'E:\'
AFAIR the above problem has to do with the second entry.

You can check it twice if you mount your shares on this machine to an free
driveLetter on the same machine. AFAIK share.exe must be loaded first.

Nice, you found a new workaround. :-)
