Wondering if any 730T lovers out here would know a source for the
Windows Pen computing application?
Thanks

I have one of those. I haven't powered it up for a while, the pen/stylus is
broken and the machine is a bit hard to use without it.

Ha ha, it lives!
The power supply looks to be too weak to supply power, I used the
bench power supply (12V DC), so now it starts without cycling on/off.
Batteries for the pen were a challenge, no even Fry's had the exact
replacement. for the 393 cells. I bought some 392As and stuffed 3 of
them in the pen. Same voltage, but thinner battery. Used one dead 393
cell to make fill the gap.
Most amazing to me is that the tiny Kittyhawk hard disk does a decent
job, even being double spaced.

Careful with that, the dead 393 will probably leak eventually.

In the collection of "stuff" that came back from Wisconsin, there is a 730T
with pen, PSU, two working batteries and no OS. I'd like to do something
with it, but I don't know what or even really how. (Although I do have this
nifty theory for loading the OS...)

I was able to remove the tiny Kittyhawk drive and copy the files to
another PC.
I'd give you a download location for the files.
Now I remember one little footnote, it's doublespaced. Is there any
modern tool to extract a doublespaced drive?
Oooh it's gonna hurt to clear my brain's cobwebs and see if I can
remember hyperterminal and hook up a null serial cable.

Alright. Thanks for making the effort to do that. You can send private
e-mail to wct <atsign> walshcomptech <dot> com if you'd like.

I've never heard of one. In fact, I think I'd just put the file on a device
that could hold it (maybe a MO disk) and hook it up to a computer still
running DOS 6.2x. Although I've never tried it, I *think* DoubleSpace or
DriveSpace could be talked into mounting a CVF that way.

I think you sent me an e-mail, but it seems to have been lost after a little
mess-up with my e-mail program. Can you resend it?
William
eh, no matter. I'll leave it up a few days (for the sake of any DSL
users)
