Is digital input/output worth anything?

Last time I looked into it. There was 1 set of self powered loudspeakers to use
it. Any mixers, amps, mics? Anyone care?

Depends on what you're doing. I do Digital transfers from DAT and CD to my Digital
Audio Labs CardD+ and I/O CardD. If I have something in the digital domain, I'd
rather keep it in the digital domain.

This is important to me for the best sound quality. Granted, converting my old LPs
to CD, I have to come in analog. But, when I'm compiling DATs to CDs for local
bands, I like to give them a CD exactly of what they brought me.

Every receiver with built in Dolby Digital (dozens of models) has
one or more digital inputs that will respond to the 44 or 48 KHz

Other common devices that may have digital inputs or outputs:

DAT recorders, MD recorders, ADAT recorders, TDAT recorders, CD
players, DVD players, DACs, ADCs, other PCs,
