diamond xtremesound xs71 question

i got a diamond xtremesound xs71 sound card.

i found that after a couple days, the icon for config of the sound card was
missing from the taskbar.
going to the control panel and clicking on the xtreme sound icon. i find
that nothing happens.

i have tried removing the drive and reinstalling it, but i still do not get
it back.

does anyone know how i can get the config icon and/or have the control
pantel icon to work.
