Are there cables or adapters for converting a DVI signal (from my Radeon
9800) to analog RCA (for my standard definition TV/VCR)?

Nothing easy or cheap. Probably the best you could do is DVI-I to
analog VGA (that is easy because the analog VGA signals are already
present at the connector, so it's just a connector adapter, under $10),
then use a VGA to TV converter, about $100.

Or he could just use the TV-Out included with his 9800. Should have come
with composite and S-Video ;)

I presume that if he had TV out, he would not have asked the question.
Not all variants of the 9800 have TV out, although many if not most do.

Hmm... Ok - I was under the assumption that all 9800's had tv-out.

You should have an S-Video output in the back of your card. It's a standard
plug so you can plug any S-Video cable into it. I'm assuming that you bought
this card used? Because the retail version comes with all the adapters you
need, like the S-Video to RCA adapter. If you don't have one, you can find
them at Radio Shack, or online. The 9800pro has great TV out. I used mine to
watch DVD's on my TV all the time and it was crystal clear! Setting your
monitor to 800x600 before you switch to the TV works the best. If you're
using CCC it will switch to 1024x768 which is OK, but 800x600 works better,
and it switches faster if you do the resolution change yourself. JLC

Yeah I'm pretty sure they all do. JLC

Thanks everyone, for saving me from my own retardedness. There is S-Video on
my card, and after digging my Radeon box out of the closet, all the cables
and adapters are in there. It's just that I've had the card for so long (and
not needed to connect it to a TV) that I forgot about all that.
