Subject: Laptop hard disk problems
I have a problem with the harddisk in my laptop.
Somebody accidently switched it off, while working
in a document in Wordperfect 6.1 running on Windows 3.1.
The computer was running MS-dos 6.22 and the drive was compressed
using drivespace.

After I restarted the computer I got all kind of warnings
from drivespace. I reformated the harddisk, but that didn't work.
Everytime I install MS-dos on it, and run scandisk afterwards, I
get messages about a damaged FAT-table.

I think it is a IDE harddisk. It is a 1/2" Toshiba HDD2326 (MK1522FCV).
My guess is, that maybe track 0 is damaged. Can I do a low-level format
on this drive??

Please anybody help me,

Christian Kohler
