Just curious but are there any games in development where you can just
play a long campaign from any time period? It seems that everyone is
pushing a game that deals with a particular operation or battle, with
a certain number of scenarios and once you've played them all, what's
left. Perhaps I'm missing the boat but it seems that there's a niche
for a game like Steel Panthers done at the divisional level. One
would pick their divisions and off you'd go with a number of battles
to play and rankings based on how you did. SSG's Ardennes Offensive
or Atomic's World at War had what I feel would be a good scale and it
seems one would get a chance to try endless "what if" options. World
War 2 seems like a good starting point but perhaps future mods could
be purchased for other time periods and if there were options to add
user scenarios or campaigns I would think it might set some sales
records.
