I have not seen the port yet, but I can't imagine a UI that will make it
as nice to play that game on a touch screen as on a desktop with mouse
and keyboard on a much bigger screen. Just playing with the mouse
without the keyboard shortcuts is a pain.
Would have expected a simplified sequel and port that to the ipad
instead, something with a big discrete grid and fewer orders, because to
make a good plan in Frozen Synapse you need a lot of precision and be
able to quickly try out a large number of plans to find a good one.
Hope they make enough money anyway to pay for fixing some problems with
the game. The random maps really need more work to add variety and there
are annoying old bugs with the path-finding algorithm.
