My review:

Three stars, would've been four without the light blue screen of death. (And
how'd it get to be February so fast? Was meaning to write that up all last
month.)

Great review. My one quibble would be that you should mention that
although the presentation / printing of the manual was weak, it was
still a pretty good body of information, and explained things pretty
well. Much better than some of the rump efforts we've seen lately,
manual-wise.

Why thank you, and yes, very good point to make - have added a paragraph to
that effect. I had meant to mention the designer's notes especially, but for
some reason it slipped my mind when I finally got around to writing the
thing. I blame the heat.

Nifty review!

I'm having a bunch of fun with it, but I do miss most of the things
you flag as things which somebdy might. My ideal would be something
more along the lines of Grigsby's old PacWar, which for me had pretty
much just the right level of detail for a pac theatre strategic game.
Pity that he went the WITP route, instead of revamping PacWar.

Ha! I just blamed snowing as the reason why I'll not be able to visit a
local software house. The World is a big place :o)

Great review, well done. Good to point out the lone carrier kamikaze
missions, that needs to be fixed.

Pity about your blue screen of death. Obviously the videos of the
dusky maidens causing the crash as soon as they start playing. It
must be a video driver issue. We can see them fine.

You mean those navy babes who undress completely as soon as you sink
the Shokaku and Zuikaku ? Well, it is a bit X-rated so if Mike's mum
installed a nanny program on his pc it's normal it blanks out at that
point :)
