Rome Total War

Hello there,

I'm stuck somewhere in the pacific at the moment and dun access to a good
computer... just wondering whether anyone here has played Rome Total War?

I was totally blown away by Shogun total war when it first came out but I
was a little disappointed by Medieval Total war- I even bought the MTW
Viking expansion pack but didnt play it.

So how is RTW? I wasn't a big fan of the close-in zoom function - I prefer
the big scope but smooth playability.

Do a google search on it and reviews. You'll find most pleased. I liked it a
lot. Very robust with the best of turn-based and real time strategy.

There are some issues but the makers are great about patches. The graphics
are excellent bot tactical and strategic. The only bitch for me is the speed
of the tactical combat and cavalry seems to be overpowered. But there is a
realism mod out and a mod that lets you play all the factions. I find it
well worth the money.
