I've just opened The Classic Warez Consortium for testing.

The CWC is a computer game museum spanning the 16 years
between 1979 and 1995. It features screenshots, game info,
reviews, original essays, a discussion area, programmer
info, publisher info, and soon, a general history of
computer games.

Here's my pitch:

I need YOUR help filling in the empty spaces. By the time
I'm finished, the CWC will cover over 700 games. I've
just finished the skeleton of the site and I'm working
on adding the pages for individual games (most pages
are now blank placeholders). I need any and all information
you can provide.

Be critical, scrutinize every fact and detail for accuracy.
My memory may be a little fuzzy in some areas and I don't
want to misrepresent computer gaming history for cryin'
out loud! Remember, I am only looking to get the facts
straight, differences of OPINION can be taken to the
discussion area.

Check dates, companies, names, events, programmer info. Anything.

Unfortunately the only thing I can offer now is the satisfaction of
having a hand in the most ambitious project of its type yet.

Please visit http://www.classicwarez.com and PLEASE DO provide me with
some sort of feedback.

Thanks and hope to see you soon,

BoatMeme

BTW, to see what the individual pages will look like, check out

Jonathan,

It's looking very cool. But you've spelled Steve Meretzky's name
incorrectly.
