Does anyone have a URL of mods of PST?
Kev
Nordom: Morte I have a question. Do you have a destiny? A purpose?
Morte: Is Annah still wearing clothes?
Nordom: Affirmatory.
Morte: Then the answer is yes!
Annah: If you keep bobbing about skull, Im gonna mount you at the end
of a pike.
Morte: Women are the reason I became a monk... and the reason I changed
back. We should get some female zombies to join our party, right chief?
Lol, I guess it's time for my annual PS:T replay again.

Works ok - I tried is a few months back. From memory, the menus and/or map
aren't scaled up so they sit in the top left corner in their original
640x480 rez, but it's not a biggie.

No, they are old and outdated. You want the newest stuff below. :)
Install in this order -
1) PST (full install)
http://www.bootstrike.com/Torment/Online/tti2.html
2) If 4CD PST, 1.1 Patch.
2.1) No-CD Crack (by Platter)
http://www.bootstrike.com/Torment/files.html
(Bottom of page. Be sure to get the one by Platter, which is
compatible with mods below)
3) PST Fix-pack (by Quinn)
http://www.spellholdstudios.net/ie/pst-fixpack
4) PST Unfinished Business (by Quinn)
http://www.spellholdstudios.net/ie/pst-ub
5) PST Tweaks /Ease-of-use (by Quinn)
http://www.spellholdstudios.net/ie/pst-qtweaks
(Check the readme and/or forums for all the fantastic stuff these
mods add; in particular the Banter Accelerator is made of awesome)
Then for widescreen:
6) Infinity Engine Widescreen Mod
http://gibberlings3.net/widescreen/
7) PST UI (by Ghostdog)
http://www.spellholdstudios.net/ie/ghostdogs-pst-ui
(Makes for a very nice 1280x800 setting)
And to answer the OPs question, hell yes it is worth replaying! ;)
Seriously, the Quinn mods add tons of content most people would've
never seen or heard on their first play through.

Not if you install the UI mod by Ghostdog. :) Everything is nicely
centered with background images to fill the screen. Screenshots are
here:

(Oh, I see there is a new version. I need to check that out myself)

Cool, tx Matt - I may just resurrect this puppy for a final attempt at
completion. Or wait until my retirement, whichever comes first. :)
Btw, you've been running a fairly stable v3.3 for years now - do you never
do feature upgrades? Ask Werner if you need tips on regular content updates.

Tx heaps for this dude. Now I have to go again - my 1280x800 laptop is
*exactly* what I wanted to finish this game on.

Hey, thanks. Yeah, loved this game when it was first released in '99,
went back to it once after because it was so long and so demanding,
lol. After playing Mask of the Betrayer, I started reminiscing about
this game. What happened to that era, eh?

We started feeding our kids a staple diet of Ritalin & teaching icons
instead of letters in schools while grading them on an idiocy curve...it all
went downhill about the same time corporal punishment fell out of vogue &
consoles proliferated. >8^D

heh :)
But I think you have hit the nail on the head with the console
argument. Well, ok, we could blame windows 95 for the icon stuff, but
thats another point. Consoles took over my local game shop several
years ago, the PC section was relegated at the back, whereas back
around 2000, it covered the best part of a wall. And all the PC games
today are mostly console ports as well...nothing seems exclusive or
propriety anymore...
Oh well.
Kev
Heh, yeah I was thinking I could use some upgrades myself, but I'm too
busy keeping my games updated. Maybe if I became a vampire? (LOL) :-D

No problemo. This stuff was already fresh in my mind having researched
it all a few months back. (Hey, I have heaps of saved posts going back
years too, but same frequency nowadays)
But I forgot one important link! - the nVidia issue with IE games, as
described in this thread -
http://www.shsforums.net/index.php?showtopic=30840
In short, if you have a nVidia 8xxx or higher graphics card, you will
most likely get slowdown/rendering issues, apparently due to a driver
bug that they're not interested in fixing. I have 6600GT so I've never
seen it. Even so, previously you had to run PST by disabling hardware
acceleration for decent widescreen performance (using the Application
Compatibility Toolkit), but with a downside of making the mouse cursor
flicker. Now I see there is a fake DirectDraw DLL solution as well.
Cool - I'll have to test it out. :)

I was thinking of going retro instead of modern....but then there is
Mysteries of Westgate for NWN2 too...
Anyone played that?

I did the same - at some point I'll get the image files from torrent,
and put everything in a folder for future use.
(Yes, I do have the game, but it saves pissing about with CDs)
>Great post, and I'm sorry about my outdated Googly links.
Ditto - regarding the quality of the post. :)
