  I&#39;ve actually re-installed Fable to give it a good &amp;amp; fair go this time. &lt;br&gt; In spite of its console predigree I&#39;m kinda hoping Fable 2 leads to the &lt;br&gt; next great MMO that Molyneux is hinting at wanting to spearhead. Good &lt;br&gt; times ahead for PC gamers we can only hope.

  I assume they wiped characters at the start of the open beta, and several &lt;br&gt; times before that, but the character database wasn&#39;t wiped when the game &lt;br&gt; officially started. The open beta was basically just a free trial for &lt;br&gt; the game, with characters limited to level 15. Like other free trials &lt;br&gt; you could continue playing your characters by subscribing to the game.
