As usual, some reviews are borderline bizarre.

The one from Cheat Code Central starts with:

"this DLC is substantial-definitely worth the twenty bucks" and ends
with "riddled with bugs, and a few of those make it damn near
unplayable. It's frustrating, at the very least. "

How can it award 70/100 for a DLC that is "damn near unplayable"?

Mr Rob <noemail...@jsjsaiiowppw.com> looked up from reading the
entrails of the porn spammer to utter "The Augury is good, the signs
say:
It must be so good that even after dropping marks for bugs and
unplayabilityness, it still scores awesome.

Look at how people rate Fallout2 as a fantastic game. I gave up on it
after 2 hours because it was a buggy piece of shit - others put up with
the bugs and still found it to be great.

There is after all a difference between "damn near unplayable" and
unplayable, and every player's frustration threshold is different.

I think I eradicated and looted every vampire in the original game,
and Vampirism seems to be the premise of this one.

I'm actually OK with this just a mission pack, since it also appears
to add some cool new weapons, like the crossbow. Given how much I've
enjoyed Skyrim, I'm in on Day 1 for this one regardless of reviews.

Well, he did manage to play it after all and described the bugs he
encountered too.

With all due respect for Bethesda, the only thing that interests me in
Dawnguard are the added opportunities for modders.

My current build of mods for Skyrim is gaming Nirvana, and I was able to
install a lot of those which I liked with minimum compatibility problems.
One of the best bang for buck ever in my gaming experience, ever.
