The demo comes in at a whopping 1.77GB and it looks like something from
years ago. I have all settings maxed and playing at 1680x1050. I was
looking forward to this game because from what I've seen from screen
shots the game looked very nice. But boy was I shocked once the game
loaded. In the game settings there's check boxes for HDR and all the
latest graphic goodness, but I sure don't see any of this in the demo.
It's just plan ugly. And worse is the framerate. I can look around and
move smoothly, but everything else in the game runs jerky. The animation
of the NPC's is really horrible. I did stick with it for awhile, and the
story seems OK so far, it's just that I feel like I'm playing a game
from around 2000. For a demo that's almost 2GB I sure thought it would
have more going for it. Bummer.

Ouch! I thought some of the in-game videos looked sensational. They must
have been running it on a Cray I guess :-/.

I'm assuming the Demo is the 1st part of the game...Its certainly a Damn
silly size.

The intro. / training section seems disappointing ...doors that can't be
opened ...
very clumsy the way Hero is stopped at the Game World edges.
This first bit gives the impression of a Very RPG Lite single player 3rd
person
Linear action game.
The graphics of the (mostly outdoor) surroundings
are very good ...almost photographic. But the character models are a bit
rough ..
..not as poor as Risen tho.

Once past that 1st bit it opens out with multiple choice quests & a lot of
RPG stats
to play for ...its around the same mix of Action / RPG as the Gothics.

The voice acting is ridiculous but entertaining 'Bossy British Public School
Girls'
& I suspect that the game has had the same loss of sense of Humor due
to translation as the Gothic's.
The women really rule in this world, the Men are all Dim & Dozy
...But that's fun .

(")_(") mouse (We note the same playful happy Pigs as in Risen)

Well, I thought G3 looked the best of any crpg to date when it was released
(gritty, real world feel). And Risen is just beautiful. Maybe you prefer
more defined polys/textures & cartoony graphics like Oblivion...?

No...it ain't. Not in a real man's world at any rate. ;-p
