Ouch! I thought some of the in-game videos looked sensational. They must
have been running it on a Cray I guess :-/.

The intro. / training section seems disappointing ...doors that can't be
opened ...
very clumsy the way Hero is stopped at the Game World edges.
This first bit gives the impression of a Very RPG Lite single player 3rd
person
Linear action game.
The graphics of the (mostly outdoor) surroundings
are very good ...almost photographic. But the character models are a bit
rough ..
..not as poor as Risen tho.
Once past that 1st bit it opens out with multiple choice quests & a lot of
RPG stats
to play for ...its around the same mix of Action / RPG as the Gothics.
The voice acting is ridiculous but entertaining 'Bossy British Public School
Girls'
& I suspect that the game has had the same loss of sense of Humor due
to translation as the Gothic's.
The women really rule in this world, the Men are all Dim & Dozy
...But that's fun .

Well, I thought G3 looked the best of any crpg to date when it was released
(gritty, real world feel). And Risen is just beautiful. Maybe you prefer
more defined polys/textures & cartoony graphics like Oblivion...?

No...it ain't. Not in a real man's world at any rate. ;-p
