I have noticed since upgrading to 1.07 the sound stutters, cuts in and out.
It seems to happen during views that cause high framerates, such as looking
up or looking down at the ground when the terrain color is constant. I have
a Montego A3D sound card in a Dell 450. I'm using a Voodoo3 3000 version
4.11.01.0441-1.00. I've also seen this occur on a TNT card that I had.
Anyone have a fix for this?

Thanks for any replies.

Try turning up your graphics / object detail a few notches. That will
reduce your FPS, and eliminate the stuttering sound. Really.

I've got them maxed out already except for bubble which is set to 2 or
3. Is there a way of getting higher settings then what is displayed in
the graphic setup window?

Thanks.

Yes, just add -gx command line parameter to Falcon 4 shortcut - where x is a
number between 1 and 4 (I think). Number 2 (as in -g2) will give you
realistic maximum settings today's PCs can run without too much fps loss.
You will be able to increase terrain texture, object detail and player
bubble beyond default 7.
