Gary Cooper, Dave Masten? The legendary NOS, or Robin G Kim?

Papadoc (you in politics yet pal?)??? Joerg Stenger? Anyone from the
317th flying circus?

Anyone?

The dork that was a real pilot and never happy with any flight model?

Cheers :-)

I've seen Papadoc rear his head once and a while and NOS had so many
aliases who knows. I was here as Icer back around 1990 or so. That was
around the time when Andy Hollis posted and the keyboard cowards drove
him away.. That's been the only constant here, KB cowards and little
dipshits just keep on coming...

Not sure if it was John, aka "Toad" that was the pilot in question. He
was an airline pilot and owned a Stearman (?) biplane IIRC. He was
araound for Air Warrior, Confirmed Kill, Warbirds (when it was the
omb), and well into Aces High from the beginning. Then there was CJ,
Avatar, and many other charecters to this place...

OK the "who the hell are you anyway" thing was something I borrowed from
Gary Cooper. It seemed so appropriate ;-)

We were spoilt for sims back then and web forums weren't as commonly
used as today. It's a real pity that USENET is in decline as it is so
convenient to read - unfortunately it's also easy for spammers and
other lowlifes to abuse (I used to participate in a robotics newsgroup
until an automated splorge launched from infected machines around the
world swamped it and everyone left - obviously some crazy had a bee in
his bonnet about something).

I now fly online with a virtual squad so I tend to hang out with them.
Still flying Black Shark while waiting for DCS A10. I wish that we had
a modern sim similar to EF2000 - online co-op, accessable, hi-tech
aircraft, dynamic campaign (although I'd like a mission creator/editor
as well). It'd bring new people to the genre and breathe fresh life
into it.
