Hi, I just got around to looking thru a games magazine from last year (I
have bills from then too!), and saw an item about Microid's Still Life,
saying it was due out 'fall 2004'.

It looked pretty interesting, anyone know the status of it?

Well, according to ebgames, its not released until next month, but there
is a demo available URL:http://www.stilllife-game.com/

The JA reviewer liked her preview copy alot, looks like one worth
getting!

BTW, I was playing with the "Prelude" that is given on the still-life
website, and one of your "tasks" is to input the FBI database key. The
Journal hints that the key is "under the welcome mat" and some info in My
Documents talks about the welcome mat. I tried cut&pasting the product code
and the "not to forget" line, with no luck. Any hints?

That message also mentioned the name of one of the cryptography
programs. (A9.) Presumably you're supposed to use the product code to
decode "not to forget", or vice versa. I couldn't get it to work,
though, so the heck with it.

I'm still thinking about what to put in this space.

Actually, the web piece was pretty cool, though I did have to consult a
walkthrough a couple of times (found in their forums). :-(

Put the code into the main box, copy the key into the area that says key, ensure
that your decrypt program is set to Decrypt (default encrypt) and you'll get the
password. That unlocks a "website" to get more information about individuals,
etc.

Somethings worth trying - reply to each e-mail and it will give you a blank to
fill in if appropriate. That can be useful to get a hint of what you need to
do.

Also, watch out for overlapping windows - clicking on the visible window could
affect something beneath.

I thought it was neat - decent story and intro to a character in the main game.
