...The leaf you can get in the beginning of the game from that plastic
plant - has anyone ever used it? I played the game all through - and I never
used it.

And the book of secrets - well, is that funny or what:-) Great idea to add
those thingies.

The leaf ain't a red herring, I can tell you that! Although I don't want to
reveal too much in such a public forum, it's kind of an Easter Egg, for
those who haven't finished the game yet.

Okay, I admit, it's a bit hard to figure out exactly what to do with it. But
it isn't needed to complete the game, as I'm sure you know by now.

Alright Ragnar. Confess! You owe us that much after the fishing
puzzle! ;-)

Ragnar,

Please can't you give a spoiler for those who want to know. I get my game
on Monday and I need all the help I can get. I already have the walkthru.
Please...Please :-)

Hmmm... Now you've sendt me on a mad hunting for use of the leaf - and I
should be studying for my exam...
I'd rather be spoiled:-)

Besides: some people in this group has been complaining about the language.
Well, if you can watch an all American action movie, then this should be
water compared. What I really loved about the dialogs was the surprising
one-liners that appeared once in a while. Some of them really made me roll
on the floor - poor neighbours... (sometimes I played into *ver* late
night).

Hi.

I'm not very far into this game but I found a flowerbed close by the
"treehouse" and planted the plastic leaf there.
It immediately grew into a flower so I was presuming that sometime later in
the game I would need this flower ??
Guess I must be wrong ??

Cheers.

The creature that talks in the past, present and future all at the same time
lives in a tree house. You first meet him in the journeyman Inn.

Heh. I knew I'd burn in hell some day for putting you through that. Oh well,
penance awaits:

Still with me? Well, you were warned.

If, by now, you've managed to finish the game, you'll probably be a bit
disappointed. It's nothing particularly exciting.

Like someone in this thread already mentioned, the trick is to plant the
plastic leaf in the flowerbed outside Abnaxus' home, in the Marcuria city
green. Once that's done, it grows into a large flower, and April mentions
something about a book of secrets.

Yes, that's right, *the* Book of Secrets. The plastic leaf allows the player
to open the Book of Secrets without finishing the game.

You're right, Ragnar - that sucks :-)

Now, get thee to the older postings - you have some plot hole
explaining to do!

Jeanne takes home one hundred points! Keep them well, they might come in
useful in some distant, highly evolved future where the robots rule the
Earth with an iron fist. Literally.

Yup, the photo indeed serves no discernable purpose in the game, although
once upon a time, it did. I won't go into it, but it was part of a highly
convoluted -- and quite awful -- puzzle, involving, I seem to recall (quite
badly), a beaver, two mittens, and a urine sample. But then again...I could
be wrong.

The photo stuck, however. As such things tend to do.

As long as it didn't contain a very mad squirrel with a spatula stuck in
it's back - running around with a *very big* machine gun...:-)

I've been wondering: *when* did April have the time to write all this stuff
in her diary??? And did she carry a hidden pencil?

Especially if mixed with a beaver, two mittens and a urine sample.
