Hey this was a fun game. I liked the 4 team member idea and it plays as
a LAN game so you can split up the team to search and solve if two play.
I don't know how I missed this when it came out as I liked (and have)
all the Core TR games. Yes the graphics are old and there is quite a bit
of shooting but for TR fans it was fun and different as it used a 'team
effort' to solve many puzzles. It also had some fun toys to help you
like a small tank you could pilot under stuck doors or down air ducts.

One small problem I have is my laptop will not play the opening video
clip which shows Core's name and then starts the game( desktop works
fine). Because you can 'space bar' past the opening video, the game will
still load and play. I also have not played past a level on the laptop
to see if the 'between levels' video will play.

BTW both have DX 9.1c (maybe I should recheck that)
Desktop XP SP2
Pavilion a1130n
1 gig. - ram
X700 - video
AMD - Athlon 64 3500+

Laptop XP SP2
Acer 5672WLMI
2 gig. - ram
X1400 - video
Duo-Core - T2300

Yes, it's a great game.

If you haven't tried it, you might like "Desperados - Wanted Dead or
Alive" as well. It's played from a top down perspective (like the
CRPGs Baldur's Gate, Fallout etc) and a team can have up to six
members. The games does very well in slowly introducing all the
gameplay elements and building up the team so as to not overwhelm you
with dozens of options. The first few missions have only the main
character and may be a second team member. It has a great story and
artwork and is based on a somewhat unusual theme for PC games - the
wild west. It's not a 3D title so should work on pretty much any PC.

Its sequel came out few years back. I have it in my backlog.

I highly recommend the original title, if you can find it somewhere.

I had a feeling you would like it from what you described and I'm glad you
actually did.

I did play that game a few years ago and enjoyed it as well (not nearly as
muich as the Commandos game series though, another game with the same type
of gameplay) but never realized Desperados also had coop play. I even got
Robin Hood laying around somewhere but never got around to playing it, don't
even know whether it can be played coop.

Desperados and Robin Hood can't be played co-op. Both are
single-player games.

My bad, I just assumed Desperados could since you recommended it to someone
who was looking for games with co-op play.
