That's very subjective. Plenty of people would put Doom III in 'bad'
and plenty would put it in 'good'.

I second that...especially their "action" category. Nice alphabetized list.

Also the plutonium Pak expansion. It's already included in the Atomic
edition, but it could be seperated.
>Doom / Doom 2 / Final Doom / Doom 3 / Master Levels for Doom 2?
IIRC, Master Levels would be a large number of user-maps. I wouldn't be
sure if it qualifies as an expansion as such...
>Quake / Quake 2 / Quake 3 / the expansion packs' names i've forgotten
Quake 1 Mission Pack 1: Sourge of Armagon
Quake 1 Mission Pack 2: Dissolution of Eternity
Quake 2 Mission Pack 1: Ground Zero
Quake 2 Mission Pack 2: (Unknown, I suspect "Aftermath"...)
Quake 3 Addon: Team Arena (also included with Gold.
>Rune?
Probably. The only thing wrong with it would be the melee weapon focus and
the default third-person view. Other than that, it's probably not too
different from other games.

Well, here's something to start you off with. This isn't a
comprehensive list (the FPS genre is *very* popular) but it includes a
good number of games. You can be very disgusted knowing that I own a
good percentage of these games (and have spent at least *some* time
playing a majority of 'em)
Note that although this list mostly contains commercial FPS games, it
also includes some demos (e.g., .krieger) and a handful of shareware
programs. Also, it can be argued that some of these games are not
really FPS games (e.g., Deus Ex, Freedom Fighters), but I'll let
others in the channel argue about that (similarly, there are some
other games which arguably could fit into the FPS genre that I didn't
bother to include, such as, say, Ultima Underworld). I also just
noticed it includes add-ons for popular games. Finally, some of the
newest FPS games aren't on the list.
I believe Eep (don't say that name three times!) has a full list of
games as well, although he uses it as a comparison of graphics-engine
capabilities.
Anyway, here it is...

I apologize for posting that link. I only just discovered it
yesterday & initially saw only the "demo" disclaimer listed for each
title so assumed it was a legitimate site. Otherwise, a great,
*comprehensive* database on the history of PC-based 3D shooters.
Scourge of Armageddon.
It's an X-Men addon.
No, it's not.
The Scourge of Armagon add-on was a continuation (sort of) of the
original Quake "story". It *added* new levels, new monsters and new
weapons but otherwise was the same as Quake (I think this was also the
add-on that had a kick-ass "run away from the boulder" sequence ala
Indiana Jones; quite remarkable for the time).
Quake: X-Men: The Ravages of Apocalypse was a total-conversion for
Quake; it *replaced* all the monsters, levels and weapons with new.
Except for the engine (and perhaps some textures and sounds) it was a
new game.
Oh that's right. It had cool guns.
