If innovative games are of interest to you, check out a title called
Stacking.

I was only able to play for a few minutes but was impressed by what I
saw. Saying "its different" is an understatement.

LOL, that looks neat. On to my list it goes. (Cheers!)

I wonder if that concept was straight out of the mind of Tim Schafer.

It reminds me of the film "Hugo" somehow.

Looks weird, and hard. I think my wife would like it, but I don't
know if I could sit through it together with her!

"Weird" indeed but isn't that a good thing? If we want familiarity we
have chess/checkers/tic tac toe to play. Games should bring something
new and unusual to the table.

"Hard" is subjective in this context. It does have multiple
difficulty levels and the option to reveal clues when the player is
too lazy to think.

Since $15 is the full release price, I'd say wait and pick it up later
for a couple of bucks if the video doesn't pique interest. If the
video looks fun to you the game probably will be.

The Russian nesting dolls of Stacking are every bit as enchanting on
the PC as they were on consoles.
The Good

Beautiful world with a charming, handcrafted feel
Dozens of dolls to stack into with fun abilities to use
Satisfying puzzles with numerous solutions
Hi-jinks encourage experimenting with dolls' abilities.

The Bad

Story can be completed quickly and easily
Minor camera issues and visual blemishes.

Another excellent 'thinking-person' game from Tim Schafer the creator
of Psychonauts.

Also take a look at 'Rochard'. A great game for action-puzzle solvers.

Took advantage of Steam-sale opportunities to purchase both of these
gems.
