Original is before my PC gaming days but this sequel looks like a game I
would definitely buy.

Under development by Bohemia Interactive (Operation Flashpoint, ArmA
Armed Assault, ArmA 2) and Black Element Software (Shade: Wrath of
Angels, Alpha Prime, ArmA Queen's Gambit), Carrier Command: Gaea Mission
will be unleashed on PC and Next Gen Consoles.

Estimated release date: Spring 2010.

The 1988 classic Carrier Command is reborn with a story based on the
upcoming second book of the Gaea Universe trilogy.

I thought if BIS made a carrier game, it would be with current
realistic ships and weapons. The main menu for Arma2 has a
background scene of a current era carrier and other war ships.
Although the futuristic weapons looks like it could be fun also, if
they can make it playable.

Well, in my book the original Carrier Command is one of the genuine all
time classic games - so if they can keep the basic concept of that but
provide 2009/2010 style graphics I think it could be a stonker of a
game.

Trust me on this. It will end up being a multi platform release and all that
entails.
