So I downloaded a trial version of "IBM Rational Developer for Power
Systems Software", version 8.0.3, and I tried to create a remote C++
project and my only options are AIX or Linux. I care about neither of
those platforms. I want to test creating C++ & RPG projects for a
System i. Am I doing something wrong? I don't use an Eclipse-based
environment yet but am pushing for it before we go and hire a bunch of
new people. We use Rational Application Developer 7.5 (Websphere)
which does me no good as my area of responsibility is background
transaction processing with C/C++.
Sounds like I downloaded the right tool... maybe I just haven't hit
the right option yet.
"IBM® Rational® Developer for Power Systems Software™ provides
integrated development environments for the major development
workloads on IBM i, AIX®, and Linux®, including Java, C/C++ on AIX and
Linux, COBOL on AIX, and RPG, COBOL, C, and C++ on IBM i."
