Folks -
A tool which can show PCI bus utilization on HP Integrity systems
running Linux has been released at:
There is descriptive text at the URL. It is anticipated that the
functionality will be extended to other platforms as the required
knowledge and resources become available.

these opinions are mine, all mine; HP might not want them anyway... :)
feel free to post, OR email to rick.jones2 in hp.com but NOT BOTH...
From the website it states that it was originally HP proprietary...did
HP not develop this for HPUX?
My recollection is the initial development of pcitop was done in HP's
"Linux" labs, using proprietary information about the LBA's (Lower Bus
Adaptor - the chip that connects the "ropes" to the PCI bus(ses))
developed by HP for the Integrity servers. Being part of the
hardware, those same LBA's are present regardless of the OS running on
the system, so if enough supporting infrastructure were coded in
theory pcitop or something very much like it could be developed for
HP-UX or any of the other OSes supported on Integrity.
Those who would like to see such functionality become a part of those
OSes should probably get some ER's filed via the Response Center. If
they also happen to have an HP sales contact that would be another
good channel to add.

it is one of "Ring Around the Rosy" or perhaps "Duck Duck Goose."
