HP-UX x86 insights?
|
| |
Does anyone know about the current state of those plans, as earlier
announced by HP? The HP website is hard to navigate as it is, so
I decided to ask here (also as an attempt to liven this place up a
bit).
Something with a lot of potential would be VxVM and VxFS/OnlineJFS,
needless to say. Maybe it would be an idea if HP could acquire this... more »

FS: HP rx2620 "Montecito"
|
| |
A while back I offered an rx2620 for sale (with a nasty typo in
the subject line [e.g. "rx2600"]), but due to the low interest
I have decided that if by the end of next week, nobody is
interested, I will scrap the system and perhaps try to sell
parts of it.
If anyone should perhaps be interested, then let me know. I... more »

FS: ATi Radeon 7500 (non-"Mobility" types) PCI & AGP
|
| |
A bunch of (3.3 V) PCI and also at least one AGP (i.e. ES47?)
ATi Radeon 7500; most of them are the "All-In-Wonder" and "VE"
varieties and have (to my knowledge) all been tested fine with
both VMS and Tru64 UNIX. In fact, I was even able to get an
image out of the AGP one with VMS in an rx2600 with zx6000 card... more »

FS: HP/Compaq/IBM-branded Broadcom BCM5700-series GbE NICs
|
| |
Lots of Gigabit Ethernet copper (1000BASE-T/TX) ethernet
(3.3 V) PCI adapters, many of which are HP, Compaq and
IBM branded. There is at least one that is an official
DEGXA, which I originally got via Island Computers. Also
several mod.'ed DEGX and DEGX2 boards (beware, these may
not work under HP-UX, including not for HPVM/IVM in my... more »

FS: HP rx2600 "Montecito" along with parts and more
|
| |
My last IPF system has been powered down and is staying that way.
(Except for possible Telnet, SSH, etc. 'test drives'.) I don't need/
want it anymore. I paid a pretty spicy sum for it (on a student's
income, driven by fiery enthusiasm), originally.
It seems that there isn't much interest, so, I've decided something... more »

address of _environ symbol
|

Hi everybody,
I'll chime in with the oft-repeated question about obtaining environment variables from an already-running process on HP-UX.
I have read a previous post regarding running a gdb script to obtain the variables and would like to find a way to do this programmatically from a library without requiring a gdb installation.... more »

Cloning HP-UX disks
|
| |
Hi !
I must install from scratch HP-UX into a C8000.
I have another C8000 full working.
I'm planning to clone the disks, since I did a lot of post configuration in the
working C8000.
They are almost identical, same PCI cards, same graphics adapter.
The only difference is that the workinq one is a dual CPU (1GHz), while the... more »
