PDP-8 back on TV (I think)...
Saw the following ad for Sportsbet.com.au on the TV tonight: [link] I'm not sure (as I've never actually used a real one), but I think the computer (at least the top rack) is a PDP-8. Anyone else got a better idea? Tim.

VT1300 and VMS
Hello This should be easy, but I cannot get the VT1300 to download from the host. The host is a VAX 4000-100A running VMS 7.3 and DECnet phase IV. I tried the info from Hoffman labs, but still cannot get the vt1300 to work. When I do a mcr ncp show node gensis chara it shows the correct load file and hardware address. I know I'm doing something... more »

flow control on PDP11 MMJ
Hello. I'm trying to install a full 2.11BSD from PC using serial port and vtserver@38400 baud. I used a cable where I connected the MMJ signals to the serial port in this way: MMJ / RS232 TXD -> RXD RXD -> TXD DTR -> DSR DSR -> DTR It worked, so I correctly installed the root on my HD. After that, I... more »

BSD for 11/23 and MSCP
Hello. I have an 11/23, 512k RAM, MSCP disk (RD32) that I would use with a Unix also with network. I tried Ultrix 3.1, it works and it's light, but network has bad behaviors I couldn't solve, so I cannot use it in effect. I thought about 2BSD, but 2.9 don't support MSCP, there's a version 2.9 with MSCP made by a user, but I couldn't install it to disk...... more »

Another VS3100-M76 question!
I have a VS3100-M76 which I haven't used for a while. I have a monitor (SOG), keyboard, mouse etc. I have set S3 'down' to enable video rather than alternate console. On power-up the diagnostic LEDs start their sequence, and stop at: 1100 0000 This apparently means it has started the DZ test. Nothing else happens; too early for video anyway, I guess.... more »

WTB: DSSI disks
Hello. I have a VAX 400-100A without DSSI disk, so I'm searching some to put it in... Anybody has some to sell at reasonable price in EU? As size I would consider something around 1GB. Please contact me here: shadoooo(_at_)gmail(_dot_)com Thanks in advance Andrea
