Broken Dec Pro 350 up for grabs
|
| |
Hi all,
I figured I might as well offer it to anyone interested before giving it to electronics recycling. It's a Dec Pro 350 with a keyboard and monitor. It's intact, and the hard drive is still inside. The fans turned on the last time I plugged it in, but I never got it to boot up after acquiring it.... more »

SDSX.SYS in RT-11
|
| |
Has anyone been able to successfully use SDSX.SYS under a Mapped
RT-11 Monitor? Or does it have a bug and if so, does anyone have a
fix?
For as long as I can remember, I have used SDX.SYS (= SDHX.SYS)
to debug my programs under RT-11. Unfortunately, the SDHX.SYS
variant freezes everything in RT-11 (all jobs, device drivers, monitor and... more »

Anyone have Engineering Drawings (schematics) for RK05? Could use a copy
|
| |
I am restoring an RK05AA drive, and have downloaded the maintenance and engineering drawing docs from bitsavers but there are key differences especially in the modules in the logic cage. For example, the available documents document the M7680 module whose functions are instead provided in my drive by an M7700 module. No schematics or other data on that module that I can locate.... more »

Which PDP-8, PDP-11, Etc., Components Require Protection from High Humidity?
|
| |
...
My memory is that the specifications are "0% to 90% (noncondensing)".
So the question is to protect things from the highest levels of
humidity, and not "high" humidity. I would expect that the worst
problem is if a sudden gust of warm, humid air reached cold hardware,
which might cause the hardware to be colder than the dewpoint of the... more »

Announcing a new TCP/IP for RSX
|
| |
Ok. The time is drawing near to actually get my new TCP/IP for RSX out the door. So I'm looking for possible interested people who would like to try things out. This is like field testing, so expect there to be some issues, and helpful feedback would be appreciated.
The state right now is that the protocols seems to work fine. They have... more »
