Hi !
I have a VAX 4000/300 and a bunch of card, among with a KA690
processor card and some KA690 memory modules.
I was thinking about an upgrade: I've read that early machines need a backplane upgrade too.
Well, how can I tell if I have an early machine ?
On the backplane there's this marking:
PELE BACKPLANE
5019353-01
If I'll try the new cpu card and he new modules, it could be harmful or simply the machine will not boot ?
