I am restoring an RK05AA drive, and have downloaded the maintenance and engineering drawing docs from bitsavers but there are key differences especially in the modules in the logic cage.

For example, the available documents document the M7680 module whose functions are instead provided in my drive by an M7700 module. No schematics or other data on that module that I can locate.

Actually prefer digital copy - scanned or even photos if that is all that is available, don't need paper.

If there is an obvious source, apologies, but I am new to the DEC world; I am using the drive for another purpose, not hooking it to a DEC system.

Carl,

I have a 34-page PDF of 1972-vintage RK05 Disk Drive Engineering
Drawings which includes the old M7700 (replaced by the M7680). I've
lost track of where I found it. The entire PDF is 7+MB. The two
pages for the M7700 are 541KB.

I noticed that on 21 March Al uploaded
http://bitsavers.trailing-edge.com/pdf/dec/disc/rk05/RK05AA_Engineering_Drawings.pdf,
which is a 27-page set which also includes two pages for the M7700.
It's ~2.9MB, but the resolution isn't as good as the 7+MB version.

Let me know if you'd like me to email any of them to you.

I also just noticed that the "PDP-8E_ECO_LOG_Dec74.pdf" at
http://bitsavers.informatik.uni-stuttgart.de/pdf/dec/pdp8/pdp8e/PDP-8E_ECO_LOG_Dec74.pdf
has several entries about the M7700.

could you send a copy to the address at the bottom of the bitsavers home page.
I uploaded what I had, good to hear that there was a better copy out there.

Al & Carl,

I sent both of you a copy at about 2050 EDT.

Let me know if it doesn't come through - I had a terrible time getting
the file to upload (and even had to use IE) to get it to work!

Hi Bob.

Thank you - I received the full sized file and it is a pleasure to read a high definition clear copy.
