I thought I'd check here in case anyone's looking to sell such a
thing; sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.

Ideally I'm looking for a complete working system with RAM, (external)
HDD, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and copy of Ultrix. This would be for
hobbyist use.

Thanks,
-Tim

Maybe you should offer one of your kidneys in exchange ;-)

Tim, I don't have a /260 but have a few other models.

You might also specify where you are geographically located.

I wasn't clear on how rare these apparently are. ;) What is the
hardest part to find--the /260 processor? No kidneys, but I might be
convinced to trade a NeXTstation Turbo if that would be of any
interest.

I was hoping to find an R4000-based system but if I can't find one of
those I might be interested in a /240.

I'm in the USA (ZIP code 52241).

Thanks

They have gotten rare by now. It's hard to say what a proper price
could be, but if you need it now and fast, it might be expensive.

Old DECstations had a small but loyal group of users and fans.
Most people I know who have one of the faster models, don't want
to part with them. Speaking of me, I still have a 5000/150 that
I keep although I haven't used it for some time.

I see a couple sources for the /240 on e-Bay, each with three units

Was at this persons home in August 09, bought the Alphastation 200 and
250.
Looks as though he has some 133/200/240 Decstation stuff.

Good luck,

Dan
