COMMODORE 64 INTERNET ADDICTION

I SPENT MOST OF THE WEEKEND MODIFYING GURU TERM IN ORDER TO TELNET TO
BBS'ES IN 80 COLUMN MODE AND IT NOW STRIPS OUT THOSE ANSI ESCAPE CODES.
APOLOGIES FOR THE "ALL-CAPS", THIS IS A LIMITATION OF MY CURRENT
ITERATION
OF GURU TERM.

YES, I AM POSTING TO THIS NEWSGROUP FROM A REAL C64. I CAN ALSO DO THE
FOLLOWING:

-VISIT WEBSITES WITH CONTIKI
-INTERNET RELAY CHATWITH CONTIKI 1.2
-TELNET WITH GURU TERM
-GOPHER WITH KIPPER TERM
-FORUMS (USENET,FIDONET,ETC) VIA BBS TELNETS (GURU TERM)
-AND PROBABLY A LOT MORE...

THE 'NET MAY BE A LOT SLOWER ON A C64 BUT I THINK IT'S A LOT MORE FUN!
I THINK I'M NOW A C64 INTERNET ADDICT.

I ALSO IMAGINE THT I COULD PLAY MUDS WITH MY MOIDDIFIED VERSION OF GURU
TERM.

I TOOK A HIATUS FROM USING THE INTERNET WITH A C64 TO DESIGN REALMS

Has anyone ever gotten contiki web browser to work with the new
64NIC. I've had no troubles with GURUterm or with the new twitter
client, but for some reason the ftp and web browser clients don't like
it...

Woah, you're the Realms of Quest guy? I've watched both YouTube videos
and visited the Psytronik site several times. I may get a Vic-20
emulator for my Mac just to play it. It looks really good.

It's cool that you're able to post from your C64. Now if you could get
your Vic-20 on the internet I'd be really impressed.

VIC-20 on the Internet!

A lot of the 64 code should port nicely. I'm intending to write a couple of
VIC-20 test programs and maybe a simple game to see how well it works.
