Thanks for sending the copy.
I was expecting a zip file, it looks similar to what I use
to so with DiskCom or something.
I think I can get the file out of it.

BTW, I found some interesting items that I bought but haven't tested.
One is a RS232 Serial Port to EtherNet Port. No power supply and small.

ATARI FALCON 030 INPUT/OUTPUT Ports

Greetings,

I'm looking for a project and info to upgrade one of my Falcon030
Audio IN put and Audio Out Put to standard RCA Ports.

Similar to what the 1040STE has.

I'm not sure how many Audio Inputs, I can install or How many Audio OutPuts
I can install.

Anyone know of a DIY project that I can go by to do this?

Double sided should work, I use a 720k with my mste, and that will work for
both machines. Can't say what a 1.44 would do on a mste as I haven't needed
to try it, but you won't be able to use hd mode on a standard ste. I had to
modify mine.

But saying that, and knowing how they are wired, there shouldn't be any

Well I need it for a Drive B as the Atari 354 drive i have is a external
drive. Single Sided.
My MegaSTE has a 1.44mb drive A inside.
If you have ever connected a second drive to a MSTE that has the internal
1.44mb Drive A

storage
utill I get my other equipment setup the way I want it.

It's not all that important for me to connect my Ataris to Routers and etc.
as I use

Atari setup shouldn't make a difference, I'm using hd in my lighthouse
towered ste, and have no problem. My mste came with a hd drive. The floppy
lines on the st's are connected in parallel with each other. That's why you
are able to have 2 external drives daisy chained, if you disconnect the
internal one.

I have my falcon connected using etherNEC via Ethernet to my routers. Can
FTP fine etc, got a problem getting cab running.

As I was moving my Ataris around, so that they are more accessible, I
noticed the mega ste has the same AppleTalk port. There are quite a few
cables on eBay for the port, seems to be lots more cables for everything

None of the above. Falcon LAN port is in fact RS-432, also used in Apples for AppleTalk. It is fully functional, but it is not compatibile with ordinary (RS-232C) modem hardware. You need an adapter which my be hard to come by today.

To make matters even more intresting, there is even one more RS-323C port "hidden" inside every Falcon - there is hardware and it works, but there is no socket connected to it. Some brave souls connected it themselves, and it worked.

As long as, I've had a Falcon 030, I've looked for software to make use of
it.

Wether connecting two Falcons together with the Lan ports (if possible).

Or using the LAN for connecting to the Net.

Is the Falcons LAN Port Bugged? Or is it just lack of software?

IIRC, the Modem software STalker, can make use of the LAN port.

most ibm drives are set too drive b so you need to set it to drive A all all later disk drives for ibm do this with the cable.
try to find a drive with < A -B > on it try a 720k drive from a apple.
some 1.44 drives will not work on a stf - stfm -ste. // megaste may work in 720k
only.

Unlike amiga drives, atari st drives are sort of standard. So any 3.5"
drive should fit as they use the stand schugart interface. I've never tried
a direct replacement for hd drives, you won't be able to go hd but should
be able to read dd disks though.

I've Taken A Double Sided ST Drive Mech Salvaged From A Dead ST & Inserted It
Into An SF354 And Made It Work! The Important Thing Is To Get One With A
Matching Eject Button! I've Also Replaced The Defective Internal Drive In My

ok, I have the SoundPool Analog 8 which gives 8 RCA type Outputs.
I thought that it converted digital to Analog, ( i'll have to do some more
research on it).
Anyway, with some software, It will ouput a different song/sample on each of
the 8 outputs.
While other software will output a song or sample on all or just about all

If you want a quality recording (and monitoring) stay away from the
Falcon's standard inputs. You can use your analog mixer for input, but
you need some type of D/A converter like a DAT machine to go through,
or an ART D/IO (converts analog to digital) or something like that. A
mixer with a digital out is really the way to go. I have an Alesis
